Communications Coordinator (open to PT)

Salary Range $38,000-$41,000 per year for Full Time

Communications/Marketing

• Development of hard copy and online marketing materials
• Regular design and maintenance of Kizuna’s website (updating different pages as needed)
• Management of Kizuna’s Social Media (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube)
• Development and delivery of Kizuna’s outreach strategy
• Creation and coordination of written and visual content
• Be a steward of Kizuna’s brand image and voice in external communications
• Develop messaging for Kizuna programs and development/fundraising efforts as needed
• Maintain various communications listservs

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

• 0-2 Years of Work Experience
• Experience working in the Japanese American and/or AANHPI communities
• Experience or interest working in non-profit organizations
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
• Experience using social media platforms for professional proposes including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
• Experience using Canva
• Experience using Mailchimp or similar mass email platform
• Strong writing skills

Development and Administrative Coordinator

Salary Range $38,000-$41,000 per year

Development

• Provide administrative support to development activities and support the overall goal of discovering, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospect relationships.
• Maintain and manage donor database including inputting and updating information relating to donors, prospects, and volunteers into the database.
• Responsible for gift processing, including timely acknowledgment letters, issues receipts, and other applicable documentation to donors.
• Coordinate the annual fundraising program, including mailings, proposals, annual reports, and other donor communication as required.
• Assist Executive Director with annual campaigns and other major fundraising initiatives.
• Meet with donors and prospective donors to create and foster relationships, as assigned by the Executive Director.
• Provide reports, lists, data analysis for viable donor prospects, strategies, and track results.
• Responsible for training new staff on database functionality.
• Assist with the coordination of meetings and events including, but not limited to overall logistics, ordering food, coordinating registration, managing guest lists, and preparing materials.
• Assist other departments by providing database assistance as directed.
• Provide administrative and development support to Kizuna’s major fundraising events including supporting volunteer event committees.
• Manage the grant writing and reporting process including drafting proposals and reports, coordinating the review and submission process.

Administrative Duties

• Coordinate meeting reservations
• Payment of office invoices and bills
• Coordination of Kizuna’s insurance coverage
• Inventory management and coordination
• Bookkeeping, processing, and assistance of Kizuna’s finance system
• Maintenance of online systems
• Mailing and shipping of Kizuna products

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

• 0-2 Years of Work Experience
• Experience working in the Japanese American and/or AANHPI communities
• Experience or interest working in non-profit organizations
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and SalesForce ideal but not required
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Program Coordinator

Salary Range $38,000-$41,000 per year

Program Planning and Execution

• Brainstorming effective approaches for select Kizuna programs
• Support curriculum building and development
• Evaluate and tweak programs and curricula from previous years
• Program Implementation and Management
• Coordination of logistics (ex. supplies, venue, set up, clean up)
• Coordination and communication with facilitators and instructors
• Work with Executive Director to assess program effectiveness

Program Administration

• Maintain database of volunteers, participants, and parents
• Outreach to potential participants and communication with community stakeholders
• Communication with students and parents
• Coordination with program staff, counselors, and other volunteers

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

• 0-2 Years of Work Experience
• Experience working in the Japanese American and/or AANHPI communities
• Experience or interest working in non-profit organizations
• Experience working with youth (K-12)
• Creative thinking and problem solving
