Each of Kizuna’s programs exists within a pipeline of others. Each program builds on the skills, knowledge and networks provided in the previous program. We have programs for every age and in a variety of different geographic locations.
ELEMENTARY & MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Age 7 - 13
Summer Camp
A local summer camp for kids age 7-13 (entering 2nd grade to entering 8th grade), centered on building a foundation of Japanese American culture & heritage.
HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Age 14-18
Summer Camp Junior Counselor
A program designed specifically for high schoolers to earn community service hours while working directly to shape the lives of kids and teens in their community.
Leadership in Action
Our premier high school leadership, community, and personal development program. Our participants will leave with a better understanding of civil liberties and project management.
COLLEGE PROGRAMS
Age 18-23+
Summer Camp Counselor
College students can get paid while shaping the lives of the next generation. Gain hands-on opportunities teaching lessons and facilitating discussions with elementary and middle school students.
Nikkei Community Internship
A paid, 8 week, full-time internship experience designed for college students to make their mark in their community. Students will have the opportunity to build networks, professional skills, and gain real work experience.
ADULT PROGRAMS
Age 22+
Board Fellowship
A program designed for young adults to learn about leadership at the highest level of an organization. This program provides our participants with the skills, networks, and experiences to successfully be involved in the JA community.
