Job Description:
Affordable housing property management has everything to do with compliance, time management, and tenant relations. Overall Objectives include 100% compliance with the state and federal monitoring agencies. The majority of the work plan for interested interns would be administrative work.

Project:
My project was a Unit Occupancy Survey, where I surveyed all 300+ tenants on whether or not they need or already have accessibility accommodations for disabilities. On the day-to-day level, my priorities were to file legal paperwork, contact tenants, and communications. I also attended and worked at the Higashi Honganji Obon Festival along with the Little Tokyo Towers management team.
Achievements:
I am most proud of the Occupancy Survey, as I got to talk to a wide variety of older adults in the JA and wider Asian American community.
