
Job Description:
The NCI Intern will work on GVJCI's annual Tanoshii Fun Camp taking place from August 29 to August 2. The camp focuses on Japanese and Japanese American culture and heritage through hands-on activities, presentations, and games. Ideally, we want someone who is studying to become a teacher and can plan activities for a group as large as 50 children aged between 7 and 10 years old. Additionally, the intern will lead activities for counselor training, development, and group bonding.

Project:
I helped with GVJCI’s Matsuri and Tanoshii Fun Camp for kids! I also worked on creating social media graphics, helping with Tomo no Kai events, and provided logistical support for classes or any small events throughout the day
Achievements:
Working on my intern project is one of my proudest achievements at NCIt! Doing a series of workshops connecting Yonsei and Nisei/Sansei through various things like arts and crafts, internet safety, research workshops etc!
