OCO Mochi Pound-Off!
APPY NEW YEAR! 🥳🎍 Always a pleasure participating and helping at the @ocoyouth Mochi Pound-Off at Tanaka Farms! It's an amazing day of competition and community spirit as we work together to form the best Kagami mochi with friends and loved ones. We’re so thankful for our volunteers, especially our big NCI cohort turnout, and we love any chance to hang out with our Kizuna family outside of our programs~✨💞 明けましておめでとうございます！
Join Us to Plan & Discuss Our 2024 Summer Camp Season!
You're Invited to join us for a town hall style discussion for counselors and parents surrounding our 2024 Summer Camp season at 10AM in the Union Church social hall. This town hall will be hosted in an effort to encourage parent/counselor participation in guiding Kizuna’s 2024 curriculum, as well as introducing and addressing general feedback from 2023. We would appreciate your contribution to this ongoing conversation as we continue to serve youth and young adults to the best of our abilities!
Please RSVP by January 10th. Light refreshments will be provided. Parking is available in the lot but is limited. Street parking available.

Our Board Fellowship Program is a great opportunity for young adults to learn from professionals and get involved with leadership roles at nonprofit organizations in the Asian American community! In this 10-month long program, our board fellows are paired up with a nonprofit organization who will help to provide guidance through their experience. They will be able to sit in on board meetings, observe how a board is run, participate in community events, and attend workshops about management, fundraising, marketing, and strategic planning.

Getty Unshuttered invites teen photographers across California from the ages of 13 to 19 to submit original photographs in response to this year’s Open Call theme, “A Spectrum of …”
As always, the prompt is open to creative and artistic interpretation – no prior experience or specific photography equipment required to participate! A panel of arts professionals will select 25 photographs to win exciting prizes and Getty experiences! Submissions open through January 26, 2024.
Okaeri's 5th Biennial Conference on November 10-12, 2023 is a gathering that centers the Japanese and Japanese American LGBTQ+ experience. The conference seeks to (1) build community, (2) educate, (3) provide support, and (4) foster understanding and inclusion for the Japanese and Japanese American LGBTQ+ community. While conference content centers the specific interests, issues, and concerns of the Japanese and Japanese American LGBTQ+ community and allies, attendance is open to anyone of any age or background, regardless of how they identify.
